I started rolling around the neighborhood bulking up my shoulders. Every day I can go further and faster. Today, I went to Target. I think I'll start going over there to Best Buy and other such stores for something to do. It's nice to be outside and it makes me feel so good. I was surprised to find how courteous people are to me. Drivers stop so I can pass. People hold open doors for me. I generally get the right of way in the chair. Thanks world!
When I first started rolling around, I lost a considerable amount of the fat that I gained over last winter in my depression. I must have hit a plane, because I don't seem to be losing any more fat. If I am, it's coming off very slowly. It's been frustrating as hell. I can roll forever now it seems like. My arms are getting much stronger all the time. I rolled over to Target and Shopko with the girls a while ago and had Ashlyn on my lap all the way back. I hardly got worn out. I don't know what I have to do to lose this weight now. I may have to go on some 400 calorie per day diet or something drastic like that. Who knows. Regardless my fat doesn't seem to bother anyone nearly as much as it bothers me. I just intend to stay active and continue to go out every chance I get.

Hi Jake,
Just ran across your page and I love it. There are so many things that you have had to overcome and you seem to have done so with style and grace. I'm sure it is very hard for you some days, but I am encouraged by the fact that your daughters drive you forward. Good luck to you. I'll be back to visit.

Hey, you AMASED me so much! You have so much drive in yourself, and don't quit doing that- because you are already a role model!!! "Anything is possible, and nothing's impossible!"
Just to let you know, you helped me see that more. :-) Thanks!
Sincerely,
Sarah

Jake!, Do you remember the first couple days in rehab after they put you in the chair and said ight now lets go down the hall? Wow.... I made it down the hall and felt as if i had been running for miles... We've both made leaps and bounds! just during Christmas I went to the zoo with the kiddos. Normally I'd get on a Zoom Zoom cart. But this time I just said F it. I pushed the whole way! It was an awesome feeling when I was done to see how far I had gone, and where I had been. How about all the muscles you didn't know you had? lol
