These past couple months, I have noticed that it has been easier to balance and to maneuver myself around in my bed. I thought it was because I'm getting more and more used to my new self or just the fact that I have been pushing myself. As it turns out though, at my most recent doctors appointment my very cool Dr Vivian Moise performed a quick asia test my body. When I was in rehab my asia grade was T4. Now it is T5! Wahoo! I have also been able to flex my abdomen muscles. I can really barely feel when I do flex them. I bet I only have 10% or 15% use of them, but it seems to get better in time. My injury was to the 4th, 5th and 6th thoracic vertebras. I am optimistic that I may gain one more level and have a T6 asia grade eventually.

That's AWESOME! I hope you get to T6 soon! I think it ROCKS that to some extent your body seems to be healing itself!

Jake, dude that's great! Its been awhile since you wrote that so whats going on now? I recently had an asia (still t-4) done and I found out I can squeeze my butthole. Same kinda of thing like you very little but the movement is there. The doc told me that if I practice it it'll get stronger some probably the same with your stomach! Kinda like the scene in pulp fiction where ol girl was in the accident and she was willing her toes ti wiggle. That's what I do alot, who knows maybe one day Ill surprise my self....
