My Journey In Finding My New Balance

Hi, I'm Jake Fischer.  I broke in March, 2005.  The purpose of this site, in telling my story, is to help other SCI find their way.  As new SCI, their friends and family members, you'll find the answers here to those questions you're afraid to ask.  I have come from thinking I would not live out a year to knowing I will live to see my grandkids have children.  I have learned so much in these past two years and this site is here so I can share it all with you.  If you have any questions that have not been answered here in this site or if you just need somebody to talk to, please take a moment to introduce yourself.  I love meeting new people.

Above you can see my life, my motivation and my guides in helping me overcome adversity; daughters Allison Nicole 12 & Ashlyn Rose 5.  I'm only begining my new life, but I will someday do everything an able body person can do.  I'll just do it sitting down.  This is my journey in finding my new balance.
